Quote from Klutch :more like not homophobic and comfortable with my sexuality

i was on the train the other day, and my hand touched another guys by accident
he yanked his hand away really fast and glared at me, when i turned around and went "what? a bit insecure are we?" he told me to "**** off fag"

charming young lad.

what a nice fellow
i hate when people aren't comfortable with their sexuality. my best mate gets seriously offended if i call him gay or make a gay joke...where as with my other friends or at the office it's probably like brokeback mountain!!

acting gay for fun/jokes =/= actually being gay =/= accidental gay contact

Well yup it's all about money. I think that would have been a brilliant thing for artists, especially up and coming ones..

Shame, although it's by no means dead.

Quote from sinbad :I think there's as much difference between the good premium cars and the bad, as there is between the premium and the standard cars. Lots of standard cars are easily as good as the premiums imho, and a few premiums seem bizarre to me.

I think the Merc 190E 2.5 16 is a pretty good "standard" car, the Spoon Street S2000 as well looks really good. The Merc is reallly nice to drive as well. Very swoopy.

Yeah Bastain they are my winter wheels with winter tyres only for the colder months!!!

my normal wheels..nothing massive, 17 inches but fine for me. plus means tyres are only about £120 each not £160 for the 18s. Handles better on the 17s than the 18s as well.

I do want the R32 lights just they are £200...not that urgent, that can be one of my final mods when I've sorted the bodywork.

I just found the handling much better, drift transitions, simulation of how a open, limited and locked diff, plus it was also the first game I remember to model automatic transmissions properly, as in the slushy-changes. It also had a massive long straight on a never ending bridge, and featured wet weather (and it handles a lot more realistically in the wet than GT5 does) and dirt tracks!
There were loads of cars as well and a good variety of them. I found Enthusia to be more fun..

I'm not saying GT5 is bad just that with a gamepad I think Enthusia is a better sim. With a wheel GT5 is mega but still, for examle the fact all the cars on GT5 have rubbish brakes and you CAN'T UPGRADE THEM (wut)...lacking in many areas. Plus ability to upgrade bodyparts.

Golf Mk5 GTI on GT5 for example, there are no body mods, no racing conversion available, where as you could in real life put the ED30 kit on.
I think GT5 is a better drive than Forza 4. It also has nicer graphics. Forza 4 has more customising options for example tuning and appearance. Enthsuia well it's a bit old but for me in terms of outright simulations it's still up there.

Yeah, i know what you mean Klutch. They adjust down and up and decompress/compress the spring, but I mean for £180 all in, can't complain right?

It's just other people have these JOMs fitted and theirs have gone much lower... but we'll see. It's definately lower than it was before, plus a plushy ride and nice, flat cornering...no complaints.

Quote from lukelfs :They are winter tyres or winter wheels lol..

Btw have you actually needed to use them S14Drift?

To be honest, no. There's been a tiny bit of black ice here and there, on quiet residential streets but nothing that my summer wheel and tyres couldn't have handled. No snow in the south where I am.

Although I still like that I've put them on, something different for a change, plus means my Audi wheels aren't getting eaten by salt and what not. Also gives me a little longer to get new tyres for summer by not wearing the other ones out quite so fast... Paying monthly on Camskill, should be ordering them end of Feb I hope.

It's lower (and adjustable height) and also much much less body roll, far nicer handling and the ride is hardly any different.

that link doesn't work for me!

Quote from Shotglass :i love how those amazing new coilovers arent even actual coilovers

quite the dark cloud aren't you. fronts are coilovers, on the rear the suspension design doesn't allow for true "coilovers" being german you should k
now that.

Coilovers for me

shameless cut/paste from ukmkivs

Okay so today was the day...been very excited!!

My mate Jason kindly offered to fit my JOM coilies. So we got cracking, with a 10am start.

Getting the car on the ramp

Wheels off ready to work

Here's what we went to put on

While Jason got started on getting the old struts out.. (if at first you don't succeed hit it with a hammer..[whistle]

I started to prepare the coilovers for years of happy motoring by applying far too much FK coilover protection spray, then adding much more copper grease than strictly necessary, with yet more coilover spray and then MORE grease.

I also took the time to sort out the front struts to prevent any knocking issues in the future.

One of the old front struts came out just as I got a busy with the threadlock

Removing the springs to get the topmounts

While both bearings etc were fine, one came off without an issue, the second one, the bearing split. Very tedius work putting it all back together, only 2 little balls down, greased up and put back together

It should be noted when fitting that you need to grind/drill this section back in order for the bolt to be able to pass through. What I suggest after seeing this done is to put it in and use a titanium drill bit and get it down that way - it's better to do it that way than to take too much off. After we had done one with the drill we did the second one on the bench as we knew how far back to go.

And putting back in place

Now onto the back:

This all was really easy all things considered

all gone []

And finally done

On Tuesday the car is going back to get the ABS sensor thing fixed, my buddy will also do my alignment for me in his lunchbreak.

initial impressions are that - it handles much better and the ride is actually very good, much better than the FKs in my friends Corsa and about the same as my friends Weitecs in his Mk4.

I have the adjusters all the way down in the front, it's not much lower than my Eibach set up to be honest [] at the back it's not even half way down so lots more lows available there. But hoping the front will go down a bit further.. but even so there's far less body roll [] If it doesn't go lower might talk to DPM because otherwise something would be wrong..

On my list now are to replace both top mounts/bearings (both are fine at the moment but as a matter of principle) - something I just didn't have enough money to do now, and also I need new droplinks both sides, as the rubber around the balljoints has gone which while isn't a big deal is now an MOT failure thanks to the new rules. It can wait though no great rush as my MOT is August [whistle]

Pic I got about 20 minutes after they got fitted

Quote from Racer X NZ :And you haven't worked out how controlled YouTube is ?, they control the viewed count but fail dismally on like/dislikes.
Don't worry, they'll get that sorted eventually.

They don't control viewed counts... If you're talking about how it has 301 views and then 2500 likes it's normally because the video is new (within a few days) and has lots of views (10000+) and are a member of the Youtube Partner program.

Talking of that, I bet a lot of record labels are making a lot of money from Ads on their Vevo pages.......

Quote from Racer X NZ :I think you just summed yourself up far better than I can !

Then why bother posting in a thread you have no interest in and have no knowledge of ?

Or do you just feel so self important that you believe everyone must agree with you because it's you ?

The term for that attitude round these parts is " What a tosser "

It's not that I have no interest, I just have no time to watch a documentary at the moment.

I'm fine with people have their own ideas that's what makes the world great, but my problem is that you just quote whatever conspiracist crap that suits you. I am not saying you're wrong to question things, and in some cases yes, you may have a point but the way you go about making your points (often by going wildly off topic in the process and quoting "sources" which are often just crap spouted by conspirators (who are famous for actually doing unbiased research...oh wait no they're not) which just happen to suit your argument.

This is after all a game forum and I've only seen you post conspriacist crap, you haven't commented on LFS or any other game discussion thread for that matter, not post up funny pics, just use this forum as a conduit for your ideas. Which is fine up to a point but you always take it to far, make it impossible for anyone to have a reasoned debate with you. You just make it sound like everyone is picking on you but we're not really...
